Innovative Design & Renovations is a Durango remodel specialist whose business runs on referrals — the firm's reputation precedes most inquiries. The problem with the old website was that it gave referred homeowners nothing to confirm what their friend had told them. No interior photography, no scope narratives, no sense of what a finished Innovative project actually looks like once the dust settles. We rebuilt the site as a referral-anchoring tool.

The redesign treats every project as a small editorial story. A wide-format hero pairs with a 'before' shot, a 'during construction' shot, and an 'after' gallery. Underneath sits a short, plain-language scope: what the homeowners came in wanting, what we surfaced during demo, what changed in the plan, and how the team carried it out. Materials get named. Trades get credited. Where homeowners gave permission, a one-line quote anchors the case study.

For visibility we layered GeneralContractor markup on the firm's index and HomeAndConstructionBusiness markup on individual projects, audited and corrected the Google Business Profile category set, and rewrote landing-page copy around Durango-specific room-type queries — galley kitchen remodels, primary-bath conversions, basement finish-outs, mountain-modern great rooms. Service pages openly state which scopes the firm does not take on (ADUs, garage builds), filtering inquiries before they reach the inbox.

We also delivered an internal documentation pattern the team can keep up themselves: a simple JSON shape, a folder convention for photography, and a deployable preview every time a new project ships. Innovative now publishes new case studies in roughly the time it takes to drink a coffee — and the site finally reflects the level of work the firm has been delivering for years.
