How we handle your data.

We may collect personal information including your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you fill out contact forms, subscribe to our newsletter, or request a consultation.
We also collect non-personal information such as browser type, referring pages, and pages visited to help us improve our website and services.
We use your information to respond to inquiries, provide our services, send marketing communications (with your consent), and improve our website experience.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and delivering services.
When you connect a third-party social media account (such as TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram) to our social media management dashboard at social.animasmarketing.com, we access and store a limited set of data from that platform, and only with your explicit authorization through the platform's official OAuth consent flow.
What we store. For each connected account we store the platform's stable account identifier (for TikTok, the open_id), the account's display name and username, and the OAuth access and refresh tokens the platform issues to us. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and are used only to make authorized API calls on your behalf.
Why we store it. We use the account identifier, display name, and username to label the connected account in the dashboard and to select the correct account when you publish or schedule a post. We use the access and refresh tokens to publish or schedule the content you create — for example, sending a video to your TikTok inbox as a draft or publishing a scheduled post at the time you choose. We never post or publish without an explicit action you take in the planner.
Sharing. We do not sell connected-account data, and we do not share it with third parties except the originating platform's own API (to carry out the actions you request) and trusted service providers who help us operate the dashboard under confidentiality obligations.
Retention and revocation. You can disconnect any social account from the dashboard at any time, and you can revoke our access directly from the platform's own settings (for example, TikTok's Security & Permissions page or Meta's Business Integrations). When an account is disconnected or access is revoked, we delete the stored access and refresh tokens for that account. Our use and transfer of information received from TikTok APIs adheres to the TikTok Developer Terms of Service, and our use of Meta data complies with the Meta Platform Terms.
Some of our tools let you connect your own Google account through Google's official OAuth consent screen (shown as "Animas Marketing"). This includes DIY Durango at diy.animasmarketing.com and the website and local-search reports we prepare for businesses. We only access Google data after you approve it on that screen.
What we access. With your consent we read: your Google Analytics 4 property list and traffic metrics (visitors, sessions, and similar measurements); your Google Search Console site list, verification status, sitemap status, and search performance (impressions and clicks); and your Google Business Profile accounts and locations, including listing details such as hours, photos, posts, and review activity. We also receive your Google account email address to show which account is connected.
How we use it. We use this data only to show you your own numbers in plain language, to automatically confirm course lessons and checklist steps you have completed, and to prepare the reports you asked for. Google Analytics and Search Console access is read-only. For Google Business Profile, we read your listing, reviews and posts; and if you use DIY Durango Plus or Pro, we post a reply to one of your reviews only after you press Post, and publish a Business Profile post you wrote or approved at the time you picked (you can cancel it before then). We never delete anything in your Google account and never change your listing details.
Sharing. Google user data is shown only to you (and to Animas Marketing staff supporting your account). We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except service providers who host and operate our software under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. When you ask for a suggested review reply or post caption, we send that review or post text to our AI provider only to write the suggestion.
Storage, retention, and revocation. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect Google at any time from the app (in DIY Durango, under My Business), and you can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we revoke the token with Google so it can no longer be used, and we stop reading your Google data. Limited Use. Animas Marketing's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When a business connects its Facebook Page or Instagram professional account to our dashboard and enables messaging, we receive the direct messages sent to that account through Meta's official APIs. For each message we store the sender's platform identifier and display name, the message content and any attachment links, the direction (received or sent), and timestamps.
Why we store it. Message content is stored only so the business can read its conversations and send replies from our interface. Every reply is sent by a person taking an explicit action in the dashboard; we do not send automated or bulk messages, and we do not use message content for advertising, profiling, or training models.
Sharing. Message content is never sold. It is visible only to the business that owns the connected account (and Animas Marketing staff managing that account on the business's behalf), and it is shared only with Meta's own API to deliver the replies the business sends.
Retention and deletion. Messages are retained for as long as the account stays connected. When the business disconnects the account or removes our app from its Meta settings, we stop receiving messages and delete the stored message content for that account. Anyone who messaged a connected account can also ask us to delete their messages at any time; see our Data Deletion Instructions.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our website uses SSL encryption to ensure data transmitted between your browser and our server remains secure.
